The power of heat.

ALC's heat-and-pressure thermo-adhesive system — five formats covering everything from apparel interlining to footwear toe puffs to automotive panels. Activate with heat, set with pressure, never reach for a solvent again.

Inside the brand

The other half of the ALC system.

If Kyotex is the pressure-sensitive answer, ALC's thermo system is the heat answer. Same parent — ALC Tecnologie Adesive in Italy, part of Crab Holding S.p.A. — same solvent-free principle, but tuned for situations where a heat press already exists in the workflow.

One adhesive chemistry, five physical formats. Granule, powder, film, web, net. Each format suits a different application station: scatter coating, lamination, hot-melt extrusion, fusing presses. The factory picks the format that matches the equipment they already run.

ALC thermo-adhesives · heat-activated bonding films and tapes — pressed at the line, gradient-cured for a permanent, invisible bond on premium leather goods.

01Five formats

One chemistry. Five ways to apply it.

The right format depends on the substrate, the surface area and the equipment already on the line.

Format 01Granule

Coarse hot-melt granules for scatter-coating equipment. Good for porous textiles and shoe-board lamination.

Scatter coatTextile
Format 02Powder

Fine hot-melt powder, applied by sieve or scatter. For finer textiles, apparel interlining, leather backing.

ApparelInterlining
Format 03Film

Continuous adhesive film. Place between substrates, press with heat. The cleanest, most controllable bond line.

LaminationAuto
Format 04Web

Lightweight non-woven adhesive web. Breathable bond — apparel collars, plackets, garment fusing.

GarmentBreathable
Format 05Net

Open-mesh adhesive net. Decorative bonding, where the adhesive needs to disappear into the fabric pattern.

DecorativeMesh
Format 06K Next

Thermo-grade bond strength for heat-sensitive materials. The next-gen formulation when heat is the problem, not the solution.

03Why the switch

Clean. Fast. Repeatable.

Sustainability

Solvent-free across all 5 formats

No VOCs, no solvent vapour, no flammability concern. The same RSL-friendly story as Kyotex.

Process

Fewer steps on the line

Heat presses already exist for fusing — ALC thermo grades slot in. No new application equipment required.

=
Quality

Consistent bond line

Especially with film and web formats: the bond thickness is the film thickness. No operator-skill variation.

For your spec sheet.

Adhesive chemistry
100% solid hot-melt thermoplastic. Solvent-free across all five formats.
Activation temperature
Format-dependent. Standard grades 110–140 °C; high-temp grades up to 180 °C; K Next at lower temps for heat-sensitive substrates.
Pressure
Standard fusing-press pressures (2–4 bar typical). No special equipment.
Wash & dry-clean
Web and net formats wash- and dry-clean-resistant per garment-industry norms. Documentation per grade.
Pack format
Granule + powder by kg / sack. Film, web, net by metre roll. Width and weight options vary by grade.
Compliance
REACH-compliant. Aligned with major footwear and apparel brand RSLs. Documentation on request.
