The bag
holds itself —
or it doesn't.

A finished leather handbag feels like it holds itself. It doesn't. Inside every structured bag — behind the leather, invisible to the buyer, essential to the product — is a system of reinforcement materials that give the bag its shape, its body, its durability, its hand.

Get it wrong and the bag softens in a season, the bottom collapses, stitching shows through, handles go limp. Get it right and the bag looks identical on year three as it did on day one.

Boards
— the backbone.

Boards are the structural backbone of a bag or wallet. They give body, shape and rigidity — the right grade decides whether the finished product reads as soft, semi-rigid, or fully structured.

LIBO

LIBOLeather board · the workhorse

Leather board — also known as Salpa, bonded leather, recycled leather. Made by finely milling vegetable-tanned leather scraps and chrome shavings, adding natural fat, latex and binders, then forming, calendering, finishing.

Soft and supple with excellent flexibility and memory. A leather-like structure gives a natural feel — not papery. Very good strength and stitch compatibility. Easy to skive, stitch or finish. Uniform thickness.

VERDEFILL

VERDEFILLAdvanced leather board

An engineered upgrade to standard leather board. Adds low moisture absorption, optional self-adhesive form, and optional high-tenacity fabric reinforcement for extreme-strength applications.

For factories where standard leather board absorbs moisture in transit or storage and deforms — VERDEFILL's special coating prevents this. For shoulder-strap and handle applications where standard board tears under tension — VERDEFILL SUPREME adds synthetic fabric reinforcement.

Soft fillers add body, volume, padding and touch-and-feel. They are not structural — they don't hold shape. They are sensation materials: how the bag feels in the hand and against the skin.
